Privacy Policy

CurioCue ("we", "us") is a private, invitation-only learning platform at curiocue.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what happens to it. We've tried to keep it in plain language, because that's the whole spirit of the product.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address, name, and password (stored only as a salted cryptographic hash; we cannot read it).
- Invitation requests — the name, email, optional Telegram username, and note you submit when requesting access.
- Voice recordings — the spoken explanations you record during challenges, along with their transcripts and AI-generated assessments.
- Usage data — which challenges you start and complete, timestamps, scores, and settings; plus standard web analytics via Google Analytics (see below).
- Technical data — IP address and browser information in server logs and session records, used for security and abuse prevention.
How we use it
- To run the service: accounts, sessions, challenge history that syncs across your devices, and usage limits.
- To assess your explanations: recordings are transcribed and evaluated by AI so you can receive scores and feedback.
- To notify you: if you link a Telegram username, our bot (@CurioCue_bot) can message you about your invitation and challenge results.
- To understand traffic: Google Analytics gives us aggregate visitor statistics. It sets its own cookies; see Google's privacy documentation for details.
Who processes your data
Voice recordings are transcribed using OpenAI's speech-to-text API, and written evaluation of transcripts is performed by AI models. That means your recordings and transcripts are transmitted to these processors for the sole purpose of producing your assessment. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else. Traffic to the site passes through Cloudflare, and messages from our bot travel via Telegram.
Storage and retention
Your data lives on our own server. Recordings, transcripts, and assessments are kept so you can revisit your history, and remain until you delete them or your account is removed. Expired sign-in sessions are purged automatically.
Your choices
- You can delete any completed challenge from your history, which permanently removes its recording, transcript, and assessment.
- You can request full account deletion — including every recording — by contacting us (below). Administrators can also remove accounts on request.
- The Telegram username is optional; without it, the bot simply never contacts you.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie (cc_sess) to keep you signed in. Google Analytics sets its own cookies for aggregate statistics. No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels.
